| So there is, of course, no such thing as a dramatic production called Horror! The Musical. I strenuously deny the existence of any such work. If one did exist, however, this might be a song in it, possibly sung by an unbalanced mentor figure, or maybe a villain. Who can tell? The musical doesn't exist. It isn't real. It doesn't actually already have four songs and a basic plot. No no no no no! |

| Night Settles in. Something Draws near, Makes Some slight sound: That's fear. Faint Whispered words Float In your ear. They're not In English: That's fear. Lost In the mist. Spectres Appear For No known reason: That's fear. Somebody Tall Drops a Single tear In Hazy moonlight. That's fear. Monsters Are everywhere. What do they look like? We don't care. It's enough that we know That they're monsters That are probably there. Candles Are scary too. Doesn't It bother you How they blow out conveniently With each Mysterious breath of air? What if the monsters control the candles? Dark And so vague. Something Is here. You Cannot punch it. That's fear. Bugs In your hair Shaped Like small deer. Then They just vanish: That's fear.
